“JOMO”
The EP opens with its title track, “JOMO”. From the very first notes, the song sets the atmosphere with warm harmonies, smooth R&B melodies, and soft textures that flow together like a deep breath. It’s a track about slowing down and embracing the quiet moments in life, the kind that are often overlooked in a world full of noise and distraction.
“JOMO” was recorded at Spotify’s Metropolis Studios in London with UK R&B/Soul artist Kadeem Tyrell, whose voice brings a gentle strength to the music. His delivery feels both soulful and understated, giving the track an emotional weight without ever pushing too hard. The production stays open and spacious — subtle keys, bass, and layered vocals that create a sound that’s at once intimate and expansive.
The song first came to life on stage in July 2025, when Misha and cocabona performed it for the first time at London’s Jazz Café. In that setting, the meaning of the track became even clearer. The audience wasn’t met with high energy or fast rhythms, but with a calm, grounded mood that invited everyone to pause and simply be present. That night showed what “JOMO” was all about — not the fear of missing out, but the joy of letting go and being fully in the moment.
For Misha and cocabona, the track quickly became more than just the opening of the record. It was the spark that shaped the vision for the entire project, a reminder to step back, slow down, and find beauty in simplicity.
